Ceiling Solutions: WHL Projects' Timely Response for Manchester School

At WHL Projects, ensuring safe and functional learning environments for students is our top priority. When a school in Manchester faced a critical issue with its ceilings over the Easter holidays, WHL Projects were able to address the situation promptly and effectively.

Over 100m2 of traditional lath and plaster ceilings, spanning 5 meters high, had deteriorated significantly at the school. Cracks permeated the ceilings, and in one area, a portion had collapsed.  Recognising the urgency of the situation, WHL Projects deployed a team to undertake emergency works. Our priority was to replace the compromised ceilings with a safer alternative while ensuring minimal disruption to the school's operations.

The first step involved removing the damaged lath and plaster ceilings, replacing them with fire-board for enhanced safety. Additionally, patch repairs were conducted on the roof to address any underlying issues contributing to the ceiling's deterioration.  Our team worked tirelessly around the clock, including long days and weekends, to complete the project within the Easter holidays timeframe. Our goal was to ensure that when the students returned from their break, they could safely utilise the room without any compromise to their learning environment.

At WHL Projects, our commitment to client satisfaction and safety is unwavering. The successful completion of the emergency ceiling replacement at the Manchester school is a testament to our dedication to quality workmanship and timely delivery, even under challenging circumstances.
